The stay offered luxury with beautiful decor and a spacious, well-equipped room. Service was impressive, especially the housekeeping's thoughtful touches. A noisy location and limited plug options were drawbacks. It was an enjoyable experience with room for improvement in a couple of areas.

The Bentley, the great staff (especially notable: Jim, the driver, and concierge services)
nothing to criticise. Perhaps a hot-tub or sauna, given the chill and damp of Vancouver.

I had an amazing culinary adventure enjoying breakfast in bed with local goodies, and I can't rave enough about the vibrant culinary scene nearby-Joe Fortes is a must for seafood lovers! The spa-like bathrooms and comfy beds were the cherry on top.
It seemed like a minor hiccup on an otherwise nice stay.

Location, attention of the Consierges who kindly make restaurant reservations for you or provide you with information on tour activities etc. elegant, clean, tasteful facilities. Spacious and comfortable bathrooms. Free umbrella loan service very useful in a city where it rains a lot.
We left the room one morning without realizing that a button near the exit door of the room was red which meant PRIVACY so when we returned at night tired of so much walking in the city we found the room without "doing" exactly the same as when we left in the morning, talking to the front desk to know what had happened, they explained to me about the button which I understood and I offered to leave the room for another 40 minutes for someone to support us with the cleaning, that was the agreement and when we returned 40 minutes later... the room was still the same! This incident really surprised me in a hotel of its category. I showed understanding the first time since I understand it was our mistake but at the time they said they would send someone to do the cleaning of the room they should have made sure that it was so...another detail was that exactly the day of our check out we found a letter under the door of our room notifying that the hotel was on strike so some services would be out of order. Outside the hotel there were many people making noises with drums in the form of a protest... uff! lucky that we didn't have to deal with that because we were already on our way out, but I suggest you ask if the hotel is not on strike before you book.

The Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. They think ahead and suggest things that would help. The room service is very good. The rooms are well appointed and quiet. Beds are very comfortable with good linens. Loved the pillows so much that on a previous stay there I bought both the linens and the pillows. Hotel was renovated in the last year? or so and has been done beautifully, it has retained its charm yet has all the comforts you need, including complementary shoe shine, wonderful in room espresso machine and a choice of delivered newspapers. It is my go to hotel for downtown Vancouver.

The sense of style. The natural approach to service - proactive but not 'fake'. The absolutely comfortable bed and lovely shower. Could use a bit more room to 'work' (i.e. laptop etc.) for a couple but we worked it out. We would not stay anywhere else in Vancouver - this was our first trip with the idea of leaving Asia (where we live) and seeing Madonna. So we settled on Vancouver and we enjoyed the hotel.
There is nothing we did not like. I'd say the bar area is too small. No complaints - we just had a small wait to get a seat. And we did not mind sitting 'near' others. It was more that we had invited a local to come and have a drink with us at the bar and the wait (though short and well explained) wasn't ideal. Seems to be a space or design decision. We loved the card we had by the bed the first night from Marlene Dietrich - we saved it. Would have liked a couple more - they seem very special (from other celebrities of course who stayed at the hotel). That's it!

Cutting through the noise
This elegant hotel is a gem. Centrally located, great to explore vibrant nearby attractions on foot. The spacious room was a dream, with a plush king bed and a generous soaking tub. Every detail, from fresh flowers to really good concierge service, elevated our stay. A few street noises were present, but the hospitality overshadowed them.

Fabulous experience if you can afford the price. Top class service, lovely ambience, our room was delightful. Staff excellent. The Reflections Bar was enjoyable, as was the 1920's bar fir cocktails in the main lobby area. We did not have opportunity to eat in the main restaurant but it has a good reputation. The cafe attached to the main lobby dead some nice breakfast options.
Our only issue was that the free wi-fi access was limited to one log-in per room, rather than allowing each of us to access the wi-fi simultaneously. If you wanted to download larger files you had to buy faster access at something of a premium cost, this should be made clearer when booking especially for business clients.

The hotel was recently renovated and the renovations are gorgeous. The rooms are luxurious and comfortable. The renovations to the common areas are beautiful and maintain the style of the property. Finally, the best part of the experience is the staff. They are gracious, accomodating, and helpful. They attempt to anticipate your needs and made any stay truly enjoyable. You are well taken care of here.
